mysql.sock in the /tmp directory is missing

i can't find the mysql.sock in the /tmp directory and mysql service dosnt start . and cannot reinstall mysql
..how do i fix it ?

aaPanel_Kern no installion didnt go wrong it went as planned and it started right after a restart of the host server

then i check for the socket file which was suppose to be in as per the config
socket = /tmp/mysql.sock
its missing
this server is being used for production it was working fine
