I can connect the server with puTTY as root. However, I cannot use the same credential to login via panel terminal. The only difference to use is Server IP. In putty, I use server true IP. In panel terminal I use 127.0.0.1 Same port, password and "root" as username. This is what I try to find the problem: In security tab, SSH Port: is set to 22 In security tab, port 22 is listening In security tab, when clicking SSH Safety > Login Method, Password Login is enabled. Hi, what system is yours? If it is debian/ubuntu, you cannot use root to log in directly.
Did it go wrong?

I'm having a similar issue with Oracle Linux 8. I have 3 instances, 1 works as intended, I click the Terminal menu item and it automagically logins whereas the other 2 instances I get a blinking cursor, I press enter and get "Connection lost, trying to connect again!".
I have no issues connecting via Windows Powershell using ssh keys.
I'm trying to ensure that configs match between servers, so I'm still trying to resolve but upon finding this thread I thought I'd post for assistance from the almighty gurus!
Any pointers greatly appreciated.

I discovered why my terminal sessions weren't working. It was due to those 2 instances having the panel set up using a reverse proxy rather than accessing using domain:port. As I don't know enough about Nginx I just removed the reverse proxy used port 2083 for access via Cloudflare, set up a new terminal connection for the opc user and it now works.
