aapanel 6.6.7 + one click wordpress + duplicator?

First time user here.
I have an ubuntu vps that I setup with aapanel 6.6.7,and configured the one click install for wordpress

Two questions:
1- Im migrating Wordpress websites from current hosting to my VPS. How do I "see" the actual website after migration if I have not changed the dns? I was wondering https://ipaddress/newsite/index.html will work, but does not.

2- On original hosting I am creating a Wordpress backup with duplicator https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/
And I wonder when I extract the backup into the ubuntu+aapanel server, how do I tell aapanel a new Wordpress install is there?

You can add your ip in the domain name management of the site without modifying the dns, so that you can use the ip to access your site
I don’t know much about duplicate

idflorin Indeed it is related but it is not the same. I have the aapanel in a VPS. That article seem to describe a situation where the person is testing aapanel in his own computer

eaperezh nope. add 192.your.55.ip yoursite.com to hosts and access yoursite.com from your browser to see the vps site. run ipconfig /flushdns + reboot before trying

The purpose of adding your server ip in the domain name management and modifying the hosts file on the pc is basically the same.
The difference is that after you add the ip in the domain name management, others can also use this ip to access your site, but specify it in the hosts Domain name resolution for an IP cannot
