Where is the mysql root password stored ?

Hi, I really need to have root password as a blank/empty string. The aaPanel enforces that password can not be empty. Can you help me out where you store this data ?

Hello, you can use phpmyadmin to change the password, as shown in the figure, the empty password of root is not safe, and it is not recommended to use an empty password.

aaPanel_Kern That is not a solution, I run aaPanel locally for my own projects and I need to have blank password for root. It's really inconvenient to write it anytime I do anything with mysql outside of the aaPanel. Security is not a concern 🙂

Hello, you can use phpmyadmin to set a blank password, or you can modify the configuration file (please back it up before modifying). The pass password is added at the end of [mysqld]: skip-grant-tables
A blank password is really convenient, but it is convenient for yourself and others.
