There doesn't seem to be a means of issuing an SSL certificate for the hostname, the current certificate provided by the panel appears to be self-signed which no modern browser will accept as valid.

Additionally when a valid hostname certificate is in place, the connection to php my admin is not secure.

Hello, phpmyadmin uses panel SSL. If panel SSL is trusted then phpmyadmin is also trusted.
At the same time, the default phpmyadmin uses the http+888 port, so you can see that the panel is trusted, but phpmyadmin does not.
If openssl is started, you need to use https://domain_name:887/xxx to access, the 887 port is changed according to the phpmyadmin openssl port you set.

You can use any SSL Certificate for you panel, i.e I'm using DigiCert.

aaPanel_Kern That's what should happen, but that isn't what's happening.

I've been forced to pay for an SSL cert since your panel appears to be unable to issue one to cover its own services. Having installed that, I find that the connection to php my admin remains unencrypted.

The panel launches php my admin on port 888, not 887. I can't see anywhere I can change the port. Both 888 and 887 run without SSL.

888 is the port of http, will not use ssl certificate
The information of phpmyadmin can be viewed in the app store. phpmyadmin requires you to enter the link of https+port by yourself

The panel can set the domain and panel SSL in the settings, but cannot apply, please troubleshoot the problem according to the prompts

aaPanel_Kern Yep. And when you do that it claims both 888 and 887 are in use and after that PHPMyAdmin becomes entirely inaccessible no matter the settings in the panel.

This exact same thing is happening on two entirely separate installations of AA Panel.

What is the error of not being able to access? Are the relevant ports open on the system firewall and the server provider's firewall?
