cURL Unable to get local issuer certificate

Hey,

I am using cURL to get a URL from another website on my server and am getting the following error:

cURL error 60: SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate

I have had a Google and search on the forum here but don't seem to have found a fix. I am using PHP 8.1

I have tried running yum update ca-certificates but this doesn't work.

Any advice or ideas are welcome.

An SSL Validator gives the following reasons for the error... I am still unsure how to fix this, however...

The certificate is not trusted in all web browsers. You may need to install an Intermediate/chain certificate to link it to a trusted root certificate. Learn more about this error. The fastest way to fix this problem is to contact your SSL provider.

I have fixed this problem. It appears to be a bug with Lets Encrypt on aaPanel. Here is what happens and how to fix it for future people and for aaPanel to patch / fix.

Problem

Add a new website
Apply for SSL from LE
Certificate Added and appeared to be working... no error in the browser; however, run it through https://www.sslshopper.com/ssl-checker.html and you will see an error...

The Fix

Open the website config in aaPanel
Go to SSL
Under LE - Click Renew

You will then see cURL / wget is working with no problems and running it through https://www.sslshopper.com/ssl-checker.html give no errors.

It would appear aaPanel ignores the intermediate cert on the initial install but includes it at renewal.

Hi, thanks for the feedback, let's check it out
