aaP_webdev thanks Kern, is there anyway I could get mail server working temporarily? tried to restart 3 services but to no avail. I can send but couldn't receive mails.

aaP_webdev I was checking dovecot couldn't figure out why it's having this error Can't open PID file /var/run/dovecot/master.pid (yet?) after start: No such file or directory file exists though
aaP_webdev chown root:dovecot & chmod 0775/var/run/dovecot directory (though owner & perrmission were the same as earlier) also tried to move master.pid to master.pid.bak and see if would be replaced after dovecot restart (it did but it throws the same error)
