Broken MySQL

Im getting "ERROR to connect database, pls check database status!" then after checking some existed topic, my case doesnt apply to those topic, I did checked the MySQL status, and it says ON or actively, but when I click "Optimization", it configuration there is not actually saving, even I refresh, im doubting if this is the issue. Please help

Optimization is not saving when trying to save Optimation plan
Already start mysql service and still the same
NO error logs
Already re-install mysql so many times

Yes, I can click the configuration tab, however nothing happens when I clicked the "Current Status" tab and" Optimization" tab is not saving the preffered plan

Your server has mariadb installed, which needs to be removed before installation. Is this installed by you or the system itself?
If it is useless, you can delete it. Then start MySQL. If it still doesn't work, it is recommended to reinstall MySQL. Please take a system snapshot before operating.

apt remove mariadb*

cd /etc/systemd/system/
rm mysqld.service mysql.service
systemctl daemon-reload
/etc/init.d/mysqld start
