Mailserver keeps sending email to itself

hi as per mail log, mailserver is sending email to itself and getting failed and doing it continuously.
My port 25 is working fine and sending and receiving email manually is working fine.

Anyone please help me to understand how this is happening.

Hello, you can add a record in /etc/hosts with the hostname pointing to 127.0.0.1
And add the root user to the mail server user

I have to add following details in config file of postfix:

myhostname = mail.domain
mydomain = domain
mydestination = mail.domain

after that test mail I think that is going through CRON every hour is sending through. Still one request is failing out of 4.

that should be this error:
mail postfix/smtp[567517]: 1E27840DAA: to=<root@localhost>, relay=none, delay=4.5, delays=0.47/0.01/4.1/0, dsn=5.4.6, status=bounced (mail for localhost loops back to myself)

I have added hostname under /etc/hosts

Any idea ?

Under hostname should I put mail.domain name or just domain name. because I have put mail.domain name there.

and yes there is one entry above it which says 127.0.0.1 localhost

Hello, just enter the domain name
And add a root user's mailbox
You can also try to disable root users from sending emails, see:

I have added but still same, emails are still auto sending from root user.

I am also trying to add following in main.cf under

mydestination = localhost , $domainname

But after saving file after few seconds it revert backs to blank.

I have found some errors in log that's why it is resetting the config file, I have made same changes to both path now it is not reverting the config file 🇦
