Try telnet/ping/curl to other remote services. If not working, your DNS server is not resolving to the internet. You can contact your VPS provider for consult the problems.

Hello, I suggest you check whether the nameserver is set up?
You can check this file /etc/resolv.conf
If not, you can use this command to configure
echo "nameserver 8.8.8.8" >> /etc/resolv.conf
