High RAM usage, too many PHP-FPM processes configured, or MySQL daemon issue.

Hello,

I have a WordPress website on my VPS (running on aaPanel). I've been running this website on aaPanel since the year 2019.

I never had these issues with the RAM in the past.

The website doesn't have so many daily visitors, but it seems that there are some misconfigurations or issues in the VPS infrastructure. The database size is only 651.72 MB; I use the latest version of WP.

The website uses a tremendous amount of RAM: 88 GB. It's a shared VPS. I was told that the high usage is coming from PHP-FPM processes. I was also told that VPS has too many PHP-FPM processes configured. Another developer thinks that the issue is coming from the MySQL daemon.

So I asked several qualified developers, and it seems that they have no idea… I'm desperate, and I was told that maybe I should use another server panel. But I don't want to. I firmly believe in aaPanel!

Can you help me to localize the issue and lower the RAM usage?

Now some technical experts are looking into my Cloudflare stats to see if high RAM usage is caused by bots or any malware on my VPS. I will update you on this as soon as I get the reply from them.

The issue was already fixed. This is the reply I got from the technician working on my website:

We have reviewed your server and found that the total RAM is 117GB, out of which 86GB appears to be consumed. However, upon analyzing the running processes, the actual memory usage does not match the reported used RAM. Upon further investigation of the meminfo page, we found that 77GB has been allocated for HugePages.Your server has a total of 39,781 HugePages, each with a page size of 2048 KB (2 MB), resulting in a total HugePages allocation of 77 GB. Currently, this memory is reserved but not actively used, yet the system still considers it as used memory. Since HugePages is not configured for active use, you may reboot the system to revert the reservation. If you require a permanent allocation, please let us know your requirements, and we will adjust the allocation accordingly. For this investigation work, we will quote $25 (our minimum standard charge); please approve the quote.

Dear aaPanel developer, please fix this issue so that other aaPanel users don't experience it in the future.

I share a htop with you. Everything was working correctly, it was as a result of the update. I have tried to repair it but the ram takes up progressively.
