Using a domain's Let's Encrypt SSL certificate with subdomain and/or email?

If I secure my domain - e.g. mydomain.com - with a Let's Encrypt SSL certificate, is it a wildcard certificate? Can I reuse it for the email SSL and for a subdomain - e.g. webmail.mydomain.com? I setup my domain fine in aapanel by I am struggling to understand how best to configure the email server and webmail. What is the best way to add SSL to these? I managed to secure webmail.mydomain.com with a separate certificate but I am not sure if this is the best way to do things?

Hello, the website domain name is the same as the SSL certified domain name.

I solved this by copying the let's encrypt certificate from SSL in domain settings in the WP Toolkit area over to the mail server settings for the same domain. It would be nice if the mailserver could fill in the SSL information automatically if the domain is already registered in the panel. Presumably the certificate will need to be manually updated when the certificate gets renewed every three months?
