MariaDB upgrade procedure

I can't upgrade MariaDB in place, I guess? I have to uninstall the existing one first, then install the new version? In the meantime, I have to backup the DBs and then reinstall them. I even have to backup the MySQL table, because the users and their passwords are stored there.

Isn't that ridiculous? Why can't we upgrade without scraping the old MariaDB?

I really liked aapanel. I even thought about switching to the pro version. But in my opinion, you have big handicaps to overcome.

anyway. thank you very much for this magnificent panel and for your efforts (development, support, etc...) ...
