aaPanel and Upgrade from Debian 10 to Debian 12

I have aaPanel 7.0.21 running on a server with Debian 10.
Can I upgrade Debian from 10 to 12, or might I encounter problems with aaPanel?

I thought about creating a new VPS with Debian 12 on a different IP from the current one, installing aaPanel, and transferring all the websites to the new machine.
Once the operation is complete, I would assign the new VPS the IP I currently use (where all the domains point to), so that it takes over the current IP.
Is this possible?
Apart from changing the IP in Settings --> Server IP, is there anything else I need to do?
