Hello everyone,
I’m having an issue after setting up a Let’s Encrypt wildcard SSL using DNS verification in aaPanel.
Here is what happened:
I used DNS verification to issue a wildcard SSL certificate (for example: *.example.com) through aaPanel. The SSL issuance process appeared to be successful. However, after that, all sites that use subdomains started to have errors.
When I checked the server, I noticed that the Nginx site configurations for those subdomains seem to be missing or broken. Some subdomain sites no longer appear correctly in aaPanel, and Nginx either fails to load the configuration.
I did not manually delete or modify any Nginx configuration files before this happened.
My questions are:
- Is it possible that setting up a wildcard SSL with DNS verification in aaPanel can overwrite or remove Nginx site configuration files?
- Has anyone experienced subdomain sites breaking or disappearing after enabling wildcard SSL?
- How can I restore or regenerate missing Nginx site configuration files in aaPanel?
- Which logs should I check to diagnose and recover from this issue?

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
