Bad Marketing for account sign-up and PRO mode 14 day trial

I was preparing demo clients to engage them with aaPanel. I created an accounts over aaPanel, at time of registration it said 5 fully functional sub-panel accounts and 1 year complete product trial as sign-up bonus. Even marketing webpage says 14-day trial for PRO version.

When installed the PRO version it is not letting to use panel without buying a license. What sort of behavior is this?

Can anyone guide me about how to activate this 5 sub-account OR even 14 day PRO trial? without this demo there is no way client moves to aaPanel.

It is recommended that you use the free version first. The problem may be caused by the system not issuing a trial license.

Hello,

Were already running the free version, an account was also bind with the panel. Panel was upgraded just to enable the trial to enable the sub-accounts feature. This setup is to provide a demo to client making the decisions to buy aapanel or any other panel tool for their server.

As per your recommendation have reverted back to free version, how to enable the 5 free for 1 year sub-accounts? this is an important part for this demo.

You can delete this file and update to the free version. Execute the following commands for processing:

rm -f /www/server/panel/data/panel_pro.pl
rm -f /tmp/update_to7.pl && curl -k https://node.aapanel.com/install/update_7.x_en.sh | bash

That sounds really frustrating—nothing kills a demo faster than a paywall that contradicts the signup flow. When marketing promises a 14-day PRO trial but the installer demands a license immediately, it usually means the trial activation happens in the account dashboard rather than during installation, or you need to generate a trial key from their portal first. For client demos, you might want to track exactly where users drop off in this funnel; I was debugging a similar onboarding flow last week using shopify gtm to see which page triggered the abandonment, and it turned out the billing prompt was firing before the trial API could validate. Have you checked if there's a "Trial" button in your aaPanel account settings rather than the installation wizard?
