I’m trying the aaPanel Mail Server today, but I find the domain setup process quite complicated and confusing.
I manage all my domain DNS records through Cloudflare. After configuring the required DNS records in Cloudflare and returning to aaPanel to verify the domain, I get the following error:
“Your domain has not yet been integrated with the Domain Name Management Center.”
I then tried adding Cloudflare as a DNS provider and configured the API credentials, but aaPanel asked me to upgrade to the Pro version.
Does this mean that it is not possible to properly use the Mail Server with Cloudflare DNS on the Free version of aaPanel?
To be honest, I find the whole domain setup and verification process quite complicated and unnecessarily roundabout, especially for users who manage their DNS externally through Cloudflare.
It would be much better to have a simple Setup Wizard that detects the current DNS configuration and clearly guides the user through the required A, MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC and PTR records, with a straightforward verification process.
Is there a recommended way to set this up on the Free version without purchasing Pro?
