Backup Entire Server

Hello! I'm a relatively new aaPanel user. Really enjoying the product so far!

I was creating some backup processes but ran into trouble when trying to create a schedule to backup the server's root directory (/). For some reason, it crashes the backup script.

Does anyone know if it's possible to backup the entire server with a single backup schedule?

Backup server root directory not much meaning, you only need to backup your website directory, database directory

Well, that's not entirely true. If the server crashes or gets corrupt, it would be nice to recreate it using a backup of the entire system.

Hello, brother, I agree with Zuantou upstairs. You only need to back up your website, data and other important data. In addition, you also need to make more backups in use. If you want to use high availability, 1 machine seems to be unable Achieved, and if your server operator has a snapshot function, this is a good choice for server crashes

Unfortunately, my operator does not provide a snapshot function. That would be nice.

But it doesn't matter anyway. Scheduled backups do not work with aaPanel. As can be seen here:

themarcus my backups on centos 7 are working fine

Maybe it's an Ubuntu thing..??

Scheduled backups don't work. But manually executing them works fine.
