EDIT: Nevermind! I figured out that the panel have something called "Subdirectory binding" within domain.com configuration. I am a little bit sleepy today, so I didn't realize that before now.
EDIT2: But it would be good if that subdirectory binding have a function who allows me to create a new folder. Now I have to connect to FTP / SFTP and then make a directory first, then make the subdirectory binding and point it to the folder.
EDIT3: And it would be good if the redirect function also have subdomains in the function listed under "Redirect domain". Now it only have the main domains.
Original question:
I have a domain name domain.com.
I created a website in AAPanel and deployed domain.com and www.domain.com.
Now today I need a new subdomain subdomain.domain.com, but I am a little bit confused.
I am not sure if I am thinking correct or if I am wrong.
If I want to add the subdomain.domain.com, I need to go to "Add site", and then deploy subdomain.domain.com there, and then make a new database and FTP-account for it.
I do feel that this is not a natural way to do this, so I tried to edit domain.com and deployed subdomain.domain.com with domain.com and www.domain.com there, as I am thinking this should be a natural way. It should be natural to edit domain.com and create a subdomain site there. The problem is that I do not understand how to then point subdomain.domain.com to a folder within domain.com root folder.
Am I wrong? Should I really use "Add site" function to deploy the subdomain? If not, then how do I point subdomain.domain.com to a folder within domain.com's site?
Thanks in advance!
