Apache2.4 to Openlitespeed

Hi Dear,

I am using apache 2.4 can I install Openlitespeed to use this I don't want to use apache I want to use Openlitespeed it is possible without losing data to install and use it?

Install OpenLiteSpeed from App Store
Uninstall Apache from App Store
Now restart the server
Done

Remember, unlike Apache, OpenLiteSpeed doesn't update .htaccess automatically. That's why you need to restart the OpenLiteSpeed server whenever changes are made in the .htaccess file.

I recommended installing OpenLiteSpeed on the new server with a fresh aaPanel ➔ OpenLiteSpeed setup. It prevents compatibility issues with existing apps. Once the new server/aaPanel setup is completed, move data old to new server & change IP/name server as per the new location. This can be done with zero downtime if your DNS is hosted on Cloudflare (or an equivalent grade DNS service provider). Make sure TTL for related DNS records should be set to automatic for seamless transition of traffic to the new server.

I switch and I got speed up my site, not a 100 but on apache 50 Litespeed 75.

Glad to know. You have multiple options for further speed up.

If you are using PHP, then check opcache module is enabled in the PHP configuration panel.
Use plugins like LiteSpeed cache if using WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, CraftCMS, MediaWiki, etc.
Serve images in WebP / AVIF format as per browser support.
Use CDN services if serving diversified geo regions or server is not located in the same/nearby region.
Lazy loading of images, user interaction-based loading of non-crucial JavaScripts (deferring), and removal of unused CSS also help a lot.

Also, previously I forgot to mention the use of the https://www.skipdns.link/ website. It helps to inspect the new server before the actual DNS point out.

Changing the webserver to the fastest isn´t enough. The unoptimized site slow it down. But good start when you change the webserver to LiteSpeed. To second try the WP Rocket plugin, for novices is easy, LiteSpeed plugin is hard to set when You never try it before.

I test LiteSpeed not sported with laravel, PHP, etc so I switch back on apache I have only one site issue which is laravel base reseotools.com I couldn't find the exact issue why this take response time too high when I test this script on Cpanel shared hosting that site is fast loading on aapanel laravel not sported so how can I optimize this?

Yes, you can install OpenLiteSpeed on your server and use it instead of Apache on aaPanel. Before proceeding, back up your data to prevent any loss. Once OpenLiteSpeed is installed, you can switch your web server from Apache to OpenLiteSpeed in the aaPanel interface.
