The only item I cannot get to work with aaPanel is applying the domain name access to the control panel so we can access thru SSL. The domain name is installed, the certificate is installed in the panel. The domain works but not the port number and access url to the panel. Any ideas how to solve and troubleshoot this? Really loving aaPanel but this only item I have not been able to configure.

Hello, after aapanel binds a subdomains name, it can only be accessed using subdomains, and IP will be prohibited from accessing the panel. If you want to cancel the domain name binding, please use the ssh tool to cancel it. You can execute the command bt 12 aaP_greggwatson

I know how to reset it with BT 12. The problem is I would like to make it work with a domain, or subdomain, but I cant seem to get that functionality to work correctly.

aaP_greggwatson If you had bind the panel with domain name and SSL panel, it may happen to check with your dns provider. Did you use DNS proxy to access that domain?

I can access the server directly, I am often in the server room. No need for SSH. I have 2 identical fresh installs of Ubuntu and aaPanel and on either server, when I turn on I cant access the new url, it does not resolve to the domain or subdomain on the aaPanel port setting url. Yes I change the url afterwards and it does not resolve to the url, it times out with no error message. The log files in the aaPanel show the binding changes and no errors but it just does not work. The domain resolves fine, and the panel works fine while using IP but doesn't work when binding a domain name.

Please check whether the IP address pointed to the server by domain name A is correct. Also check if using CloudFlare's proxy? If so, please use a trusted port such as: 2087 8443 aaP_greggwatson

aaPanel_Kern Yes we are using Cloudflare. I will change the ports and see what happens, thanks for the extra info, I overlooked that Cloudflare is the proxy and that can cause config issues.

Use the test command from the server to see if port 25 can be accessed
