Thank you, I have no issue adding the additional error pages. What I was referring to was, when you enable the maintenance mode, the server adds an entry for the 403 page in the configuration as part of the servers process to redirect all content to the notification page. If a manual entry for a custom 403 page is added, it will conflict with the maintenance mode. Disabling the mode allows the custom 403 to work as expected. What would be nice is in the configuration interface there was an option to add or enable a custom 403 when maintenance is disabled, so that I don't have to go back and manually add it each time. Just a lazy admin request.
