Hello,
I have just installed aaPanel 8 on Debian 12, and I am trying to configure a Let's Encrypt SSL certificate for the subdomain used to access the panel, but I am unsure about the correct procedure.
Here is my current setup:
- I created a subdomain: srv1.mydomain.net (which is also the hostname of the VPS)
- The DNS configuration includes an A record pointing to the public IP address of the server
- In Settings -> Network & Access, I set srv1.mydomain.net in the Domain field
However, I am not sure how to correctly issue and bind a Let's Encrypt certificate for this domain.
Current situation in the panel:
- Domains -> Domain Management: empty
- Domains -> SSL Certificate -> Let's Encrypt: two entries are present
- a Let's Encrypt certificate issued for the server IP (5 days remaining)
- an aapanel.com entry
Could you please clarify the correct steps required to issue and apply a Let's Encrypt SSL certificate for srv1.mydomain.net so that it secures access to the aaPanel interface?
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
