What should I chose: 1.Almalinux or 2.Rockylinux ?

I'm thinking of ditching Centos 7but I don't know what to choose 1.Almalinux or 2. Rockylinux.
I use only this setup:

Does anybody use this setup combination with success? If Yes, which distro do you use?

aaP_pwawrzen I'm using now CentOS 7.1+ on 4 Contabo VPSs without any significant problems. I was thinking about the future. I will wait another year.

idflorin yeah I use Debian 10 on 2 VPS with aaPanel, after last update after change IP to domain login panel automatically logged me off, so I need to change panel.

if you are used to centos, then I advise you to install almalinux, there are no problems with it. I myself also switched to it from centos.

I've installed aapanel 6.8.21 on Alma 8.5 (Arctic Sphynx)(Py3.7.8) successfully!
Config:

All is working fine except for some minor problems with Fail2ban Manager 1.8.
I can't set up Server protection for dovecot, postfix; Also when I restart the VPS Fail2ban doesn't start automatically.
"[ /var/log/mail.log ] The log file does not exist and cannot be created"

@aaPanel_Jose any idea on how to fix this?

Email works fine, PHP, Nginx, and MySQL work fine. Btw in PHP 8.1 fileinfo works, in Centos 7 didn't work.
For PHP 8.0 I use fileinfo, opcache, apcu and igbinary.
I didn't try Apache.

idflorin Hello, you can manually create / var / log / mail Log this file and try again.

aaPanel_thisyear I created the file /var/log/mail.log, reinstalled fail2ban and now its working fine.

I reverted to Centos 7, the insecurity of an unsupported OS was unbearable. Good thing Contabo has a Snapshot system.
Anyway, Almalinux looks like a viable successor of Centos 7, and I hope aaPanel team will make a move this way soon.

If you are not the one who hates the company because of its name, Oracle Linux just works without a problem. It's free. Based on RHEL.

I'm for aapanel to go to Almalinux and Debian (I'm using Debian 10 now).
Almalinux - because aapanel is a real cPanel alternative for webmasters.
Debian - just because is more stable than Ubuntu, server-side...
